Dr. Shannon Widmier grew up down the road in Murtaugh, Idaho. Life on the family farm taught him the value of hard work at a young age. He graduated from Murtaugh High School in 1989 before serving a two year LDS mission to Switzerland and France. Upon returning home, he married his high school sweetheart, Heidi Stanger in 1992. The newly-weds then moved to Logan, Utah where Dr. Widmier finished his undergraduate studies at Utah State University. The four years that followed would take them to Oklahoma where Dr. Widmier attended Dental school at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from Dental School in 1998 with high honors and ranked as one of the top three in his class. His desire and drive for excellence wasn’t just in the classroom. He excelled clinically as well. He received multiple awards based on his exceptional clinical skills. His schooling now complete, he and his wife, Heidi, had a desire to move back closer to home and decided on Kimberly. Dr. Widmier and his wife, Heidi, have two daughters, Jordy, 20 and Braydan, 17, and a 13 year old son, Race. They love spending time together as a family enjoying the outdoors, boating, hiking and pretty much every sport, and are grateful to be raising their family and practicing dentistry in the beautiful Magic Valley.
